Welcome to Chesapeake City's Saint Patricks Day Parade and Pub Crawl. What a way to start off the day......a Bagpiper. What would a parade be wiyhout cars, bands, the Girl Scouts, and don't forget man's best friend...the dogs. This year for the first time there is a contingent of Mummers from the Duffy String Band...let's listen.
The Chesapeake City Volunteer Fire Company is here and they even sent their Special Brush Fire Brigade...the tractor. We have floats and the next to arrive is the Easter Bunny. Here comes the Bohemia Manor High Schoo; Marching Band. Pell Gardens is the judging area for the Parade and the Mummers are on stage.
He ain't heavy he's my brother and there are the Mummers playing at the Chesapeake Inn.
The gang is enjoying a scrumptious lunch at the Bayard House overlooking the C & D Canal. We crawl on to the Southside Bar and Grill with their famous $5 crab cakes and the Mummers are out of costume. The floor is shaking that's not me.
People are just making new friends and having a good time.
But Mom, Mom. I am not kidding. Look, look it's a green dog!
